The Throne Joins the Independent Supporters Council

The Throne has officially joined the Independent Supporters Council (ISC), connecting our group with a North American network of organized soccer supporters across the NWSL, MLS, USL, and CPL.

What is the ISC?

The Independent Supporters Council is a non-profit coalition of over 100 independent supporter groups across the continent. It acts as a unified advocacy voice for fans, addressing issues like supporter rights, fair ticket pricing, stadium security policies, and safe-standing initiatives. The ISC exists to ensure that leagues, club front offices, and stadium authorities actively consult and respect the people filling the stands. To find out more about the ISC, click the link below.

What Joining Means for The Throne

Becoming an official ISC member integrates our group into a recognized, structured network of soccer supporters. While we remain 100% independent in how we operate and support the Utah Royals, joining the council means our group now operates with the shared resources, legal backing, and established standards of the broader North American supporter community.

Why This Is Good for Our Members

Stronger Advocacy with League & Management: When issues arise regarding stadium rules, ticket allocations, or match-day treatment, we are no longer negotiating in isolation. ISC membership gives us collective leverage backed by a continent-wide coalition.

Streamlined Away Travel & Coordination: The ISC creates direct lines of communication between all NWSL supporter groups. This makes organizing away-game trips, coordinating visiting supporter sections, and building cross-league solidarity much easier.

Higher Standards for Safety and Inclusion: ISC membership requires groups to adhere to clear codes of conduct regarding transparency, governance, and anti-discrimination. Joining reinforces our commitment to keeping our section safe, inclusive, and accountable for every Royals fan.

By joining the ISC, we are ensuring that as the Utah Royals and the NWSL grow, our members have a protected, amplified voice in shaping the culture of the game.

The Throne Takes Pride

Back in June, members of The Throne proudly joined forces with supporters from Real Salt Lake to march in the 2025 Salt Lake City Pride Parade. Together, we represented our love for the beautiful game and our unwavering support for the LGBTQ+ community.

It wasn’t just the supporters who showed up. We were thrilled to be joined by Utah Royals FC head coach and several members of the team staff, all of whom marched alongside us with joy, solidarity, and plenty of Royals flair. Their presence was a powerful reminder of what this club can be when players, staff, and supporters stand together.

The energy, the color, the community, it was an unforgettable day of unity, celebration, and love. We’re already looking forward to next year.

Soccer is for everyone. Always.
